Moliterno al Vino is a masterpiece created by combining an Award winning cheese “Moliterno” and the sweetness of wine. To create this unique flavor, after the first 60 days of aging the wheels are carefully transferred from Sardinia to Veneto where they are soaked in the Pomace (the solid remains of grapes after pressing the juice) for 30 days, then brought back in Sardinia for an additional 4 months of aging. The result is a spectacular cheese that still has the characteristic look of the junco basket and the company stamp to ensure the highest level of quality.
This hard sheep's milk cheese has a balanced, strong flavor which ages well.
