Raw milk cheese. Created by a master cheesemaker, the Grés d’Alsace is a soft cheese with a washed rind ripened in the cellars of the Alsatian vineyard for a fortnight. The cheeses are washed once or twice with lightly salted brine. The day before they are wrapped, they are washed one last time with champagne for a naturally more intense taste and fruitier aroma.
A beautiful, small format, washed rind cheese adorned with a fern. It has semi-soft texture with nutty, meaty, eggy, yeasty notes. So rich you can eat it with a spoon.
